|Dr. Peter Cox|
Dr. Cox initially trained in Paediatrics (Honorary Registrar, Department Paediatrics, Portsmouth) retraining as a GP at the University of Southampton Teaching Practice in North Baddesley, Southampton (1984). Joined the Practice in 1987 and was involved in the design and development of the new building. A self-confessed computer 'geek' responsible for much of the IT innovation in the Practice. Prescribing lead and previous mentor to the Prescribing support Pharmacist. Lead for medical student teaching of 3rd, 4th and 5th year students from Southampton University School of Medicine. |Dr. Andrew Purnell|
Dr. Purnell initially qualified in Dentistry in London with subsequent medical training in Southampton and General Practice training in Portsmouth. He joined the Practice in 1998. He has a hospital post as clinical assistant in Dermatology at Petersfield Hospital. He undertakes minor surgery sessions within the Practice and is lead in a Practice Based Commissioning Pilot scheme for Dermatology Minor Surgery locally.
Dr. Rupert Crispin
Dr. Crispin joined the Practice in 2002 following General Practice training locally and a six month post at the Rowans Hospice. He is involved as lead in Practice based commisioning and 'end of life' care. He has an interest in training and mentoring. He is lead in Diabetes and is involved in Clinical Research (WREN).
|Dr. Ben Arnold|
Dr. Arnold is the newest recruit to the practice. Having trained locally over the past 3 years, he is interested in all aspects of general practice, especially general medicine and ophthalmology (eyes). He is keen to bring back medical student teaching from the University of Southampton to the Surgery in order to both assist the training of our future doctors and to benefit the local community.
|Dr. Valerie Lane|
Dr. Lane completed vocational training in General Practice at the University Teaching Practice in Southampton. She joined the Practice in 1990 as a salaried GP. As the only female GP in the Practice, she brings some necessary balance to the Partnership.
